Job Description: Payment Processing Analyst ll
Below is an outline of the requirements and processes that would be associated with a Payment Processing Analyst ll. This position requires experience with balancing, check handling and processing payments. You must pass a background and drug screening.
Education:
· High School Diploma
· Associates degree or 3 year cash handling
Qualifications
· Proficient in Microsoft Outlook
· Proficient in Internet Explorer
· Some knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint
· Ability to type at least 50 wpm
· Strong organizational skills & attention to detail
· Strong communication skills – both oral and written
· At least 3 years’ experience in handling payments
· Team-player, customer-centric attitude
· Excellent attendance
Primary duties
· Process refunds from the tax office
· Void and reissue checks as well as returned checks
· Communicate with the clients, accounting, and other areas within the department
· Process customer service tickets
· Process wire payments by putting packages together for accounting to send funds
·
· Prepare packaging for payments
· Make calls to taxing jurisdictions requesting data
· Scan images
· Work in a fast-paced environment
· Communicate delays
· Maintain excellent attendance
· Assist others with their payment files
