Description
Our Facilities Maintenance team is seeking another technician. This role requires a skilled maintenance technician that can troubleshoot various projects as they arise.
Essential Tasks and Duties:
• Assemble and install equipment, cabinetry, appliances, and furniture.
• Repair roofs, ceiling tiles, floors, partitions, windows, doors, plumbing, drywall, and paint.
• Maintain parts inventory and order parts as needed.
• Utilize specifications, technical manuals, blueprints, schematics, and ladder diagrams as needed to resolve equipment issues.
• Maintains and repairs all building systems including forklifts, batteries, battery chargers, HVAC equipment, refrigeration system, dock doors and ramps, sprinkler system and all electrical services.
• Maintains buildings and equipment for long term use.
• Records data from main electrical panels.
• Inspects various equipment and building areas, including, but not limited to, air compressors, roof and roof mounted equipment and record data from inspections.
• Tests sprinkler system’s water flow, tamper switches and sprinkler system alarms.
• Tests fire pump and alarm.
• Inspects, lubricates, and cleans condensers.
• Performs annual inspections on refrigeration compressors, including change oil and filters, disassemble compressor for internal inspection and align mechanical couplings.
• Inspects and lubricates freezer and cooler doors and performs needed repairs; maintains inventory of repair parts.
• Designs and constructs carpentry items requested by other departments.
• Responds to maintenance calls.
• Repairs HVAC piping and restroom facilities as needed.
• Maintains knowledge of systems and the buildings.
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• High School diploma and/or similar education
• Knowledge of Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, Carpentry.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar role.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations.
