Job Description: Customer Service Representative (CSR) -Inside Sales

Location: Mountain Top, PA

Reports to: Customer Service Manager

Exempt/Nonexempt: Non-Exempt

Purpose/Objective of the Position

The CSR is responsible for handling the needs of future and existing customers while representing Button Oil & Propane Company favorably. Responsibilities include offering alternative products, and resolving customer issues in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.

Responsibilities

• Educate customers on options available to them (i.e. contracts, pre-buys, auto fills, etc.) including the advantages of pricing programs
• Serve as a subject matter expert on products offered and options available
• Accept and process new orders
• Answer inbound calls, emails and chats in a professional and friendly manner
• Make outbound calls to existing and future customers
• Resolve customer issues
• Responsible for product knowledge to answer customer questions
• Greet customers and create rapport
• Responsible for processing payments
• Responsible for customer follow-up
• Use excellent verbal communication and best practices in customer service when interacting with customers
• Account set up and management
• Customer collections
• Processing required documents that the customer’s account requires (leak check, credit apps, ACH forms, and any company specific guidelines)
• Working as a team with Outside Sales Representative to provide superior customer service and achieve specified goals
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

· 1 year of experience in customer service

• Generalized computer skills
• Knowledge of MS Office including MS Outlook
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Goal driven approach
• Ability to problem solve

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour
