Distribution Supervisor - Day Shift

Responsible for ensuring that Distribution activities, including Shipping and Receiving, are carried out efficiently and profitably. Assures the accuracy and quality of product shipped.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Coordinate staffing needs with HR to ensure proper staffing.
• Handles general employee inquiries and solves problems.
• Handles discipline and training of employees.
• Coordinates with other departments to facilitate efficient shipping operations.
• Completes necessary Activity Reports for management.
• Attends regular and called meetings as required.

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:

• Practical use and knowledge of Company, State and Federal Policies and regulations.
• Working knowledge and practical use of a computer to communicate, research, analyze data and present information.
• Practical understanding of processes and procedures used in the Poultry Processing Industry.
• Good communication and problem solving skills.
• Must possess the knowledge and ability to manage specified Department.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs other duties and assignments as directed by management.
• Maintains efficient manpower schedules.
• Researches and presents new ideas to improve the warehouse operations.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Management or related field and two to three years of experience is preferred. Good communication and supervisory skills.
