Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Urgent Care Physician to join our team for occasional coverage for illness, injury, and vacation coverage of full time staff. This is not a full time job, it is simply for coverage only. If you are retired, work part time, or are interested in some occasional shift coverage and like laid back, small physician owned and focused medicine, this job may be one for you.

We specifically currently need coverage for the week of April 22-27th and August 14-17th and 21st -24th 2024. There may be other dates as well TBD.

If you are interested in working a few shifts a month outside of coverage for occasional shifts we are happy to discuss the possibility of this with you too.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough physical examinations of patients
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays and laboratory tests
- Perform minor procedures, including suturing, IV therapy, orthopedic exams
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical record systems. Experity is our EHR.
- Manage data related to patient care, including documentation, billing, and coding
- Provide education and guidance to patients regarding preventive care and health promotion
- Collaborate with specialists for referrals when necessary

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in performing physical examinations
- Experience in addiction counseling and support
- Familiarity with Experity or similar electronic medical record systems
- Ability to interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays and laboratory results
- Competence in performing minor procedures, including suturing and phlebotomy
- Knowledge of senior care principles and practices
- Experience working in an Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care
- Excellent data management skills

Requirements:

-Must have an active, valid Missouri Medical License or DEA

-Must be a licensed Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy

-Must be able to pass a background check

- Must have malpractice with tail coverage

Job Type: Contract
