Butler County, KS is Hiring a GIS Technician I Near Butler, KS

Under the supervision of the Butler County GIS Coordinator Director, the GIS Technician I is a non-exempt position under FLSA. The primary goal of this position is to assist in the creation and timely updating of the counties Geographic Information System. The position is responsible for the current upkeep of the GIS geodatabases, shapefiles and ownership tracking in the county, in addition to manual mapping as needed. Work is carried out following prescribed laws, policies, rules and procedures with some independence and is reviewed for accuracy by the GIS Coordinator Director.
