**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a Building Material Wholesale Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the Store Manager in daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, managing inventory, and supporting sales goals.
**Responsibilities:**
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly manner
- Assist in managing stock levels and visual merchandising to maximize sales
- Support the Store Manager in achieving store targets and KPIs
- Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain a balanced cash register
- Utilize technical sales knowledge to promote products and drive sales
- Manage time effectively to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Uphold phone etiquette standards when communicating with customers or colleagues
- Demonstrate proficiency in basic math for cash handling and inventory management
- Utilize expertise in jewelry sales to provide product knowledge and recommendations
**Experience:**
- Previous experience in building material sales, lumber sales, or customer service roles preferred
- Proven experience with cash register operation and cash handling
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Knowledge of technical sales techniques is an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software such as Word and Excel is an advantage
- Proficiency or experience in accounting software is an advantage
