Butcher Block Social is looking for a Bartender to join our team in Caledonia, MI.

Bartender Job Description:

The Bartender’s primary responsibility is to prepare and serve alcoholic beverages. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a desire to learn the beverage line, be able to communicate effectively with other bartenders and wait staff, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare alcoholic beverages including garnishes, bar stock, and bar equipment.
• Clean and sanitize all surfaces of all equipment used in the bar.
• Stock inventory as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar area and workstations.
• Stock, maintain, and clean all equipment used in the bar.
• Work with other staff members to ensure that service is carried out efficiently and quickly.
• Ensure that food is prepared according to company standards and presented to our guests in a positive manner.
• Ensure that all food orders are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Ensure that all guest requests are promptly executed.
• Ensure that proper labeling of food orders is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Ensure that proper labeling of liquor bottles is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Ensure that proper labeling of liquor bottles is completed correctly according to the state regulations at the time of serving.
• Cleaning the bar area including but not limited to tables, chairs, floor, walls, etc.. (Must be able to work on your feet for long periods of time.)
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Experience: Barista experience preferred but not required.Hospitality: 1 year (Preferred) Beer Service Experience: 1 year (Preferred) Food Handlers: 1 year (Preferred)

Education: High School or equivalent (Required) A Barista Certification (Preferred)
