Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of young children and providing them with a solid foundation for their educational journey. Your responsibilities will include creating and implementing engaging lesson plans, fostering a positive learning environment, and ensuring the overall well-being of the children in your care.
Duties:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and development in areas such as math, literacy, and social skills
- Create a safe and nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity
- Provide individualized attention to each child's needs and abilities
- Foster positive relationships with parents/guardians through effective communication and regular updates on their child's progress
- Maintain accurate records of each child's development and milestones
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to create a cohesive educational experience for all students
- Implement effective classroom management techniques to ensure a productive learning environment
- Provide guidance and support to assistant teachers or teacher aides
Skills:
- Experience working with young students, preferably in an early childhood education setting
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Proficiency in math concepts relevant to preschool education
- Excellent classroom management skills to create an organized and structured learning environment
- Ability to educate and engage children through age-appropriate activities and materials
- Experience in promoting literacy education among preschool-aged children
- Knowledge of toddler care techniques, including feeding, diapering, and basic hygiene practices
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in early childhood education preferred
- Relevant certifications or licenses as required by state regulations
