Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to join our healthcare team. The RNFA will play a crucial role in assisting surgeons during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by providing direct patient care
- Maintain a sterile field in the operating room
- Suture incisions and assist with wound closure
- Monitor patients' vital signs and assist with post-operative care
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective patient care
Requirements:
- Valid RN license with RNFA certification
- Previous experience as an RNFA or in a similar surgical role
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and surgical procedures
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Skills:
- Proficiency in IV infusion and diagnostic evaluation
- Knowledge of hospice palliative medicine and PICU procedures
- Familiarity with Athenahealth software for medical records management
- Experience in infant care and inhalation therapy
- Ability to dialyze patients when necessary
