Job Title: Cable Technician
Location: Fairchild AFB, WA 110 N. Foulois Ave. Bldg. 2248B, Airway Heights, WA 99011, (100% Onsite)
Work Authorization: US Citizen
Clearance Required: Secret (Or) Top Secret Required
Job Description:
Minimum 5-10 years Telecommunications experience, to include the installation, splicing, termination, testing and maintenance of copper and fiber optic cabling, ISP/OSP.
Knowledge of locating and marking of underground and buried communications cabling, utilizing a 3M Dynatel 2273 or equivalent.
Ability to work alone or with limited Supervison, including the installation of multiple CAT5E/CAT6 drops, patch panels and associated equipment.
Ability to operate a scissor lift and work at elevated levels using lifts, extension ladders, etc.
Knowledge of Fluke CAT5/6 cable testing equipment. (Versiv 2)
Knowledge of Fujikura Fiber Optic Cable Splicer. (905)
Knowledge of 3M Hotmelt Kit (LC/ST)
Extensive knowledge of basic hand and power tools required.
Ability to operate and update CVC/CAD drawing software desirable.
Experience working in a Government/Military (USAF) environment, and ability to acquire a Common Access Card (CAC) and take CBT Training as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
