Job Description:

SCHOOL BASED SUPPORT SUPERVISOR

Kansas City / Independence, Missouri area

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated School Based Support Supervisor to join our team in supporting Independence Missouri area schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising School Based Support Specialists, providing direct student and family care, and ensuring compliance with departmental standards and regulations. ***Key Responsibilities***

  • Provide regular individual supervision and team meetings to support the growth and development of School Based Support Specialists.
  • Collaborate with School Based Specialists to deliver high-quality clinical services, including accompanying them on client visits to ensure worker safety and quality performance.
  • Assist supervisees in managing their time effectively, in accordance with DMH standards and departmental needs.
  • Participate in staffing meetings to identify client needs, set goals and objectives, and manage case assignments.
  • Contribute to the quality assurance process by presenting and facilitating case discussions, providing input, and participating in ITP development and updates.
  • Serve as backup support to supervisees as needed, providing direct crisis intervention during regular business hours and on a call-down basis outside of office hours.
  • Review and monitor written documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, providing constructive feedback and disciplinary action as necessary.

***Qualifications***

  • Master's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or related field;
    OR Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or related field plus relevant experience.
  • Acceptable driving record and personal auto insurance coverage.

***Work Environment***

  • School settings, may require occasional travel between schools.
  • Regular office hours, with flexibility to work outside of office hours as needed.
