We are now hiring for energetic and compassionate camp counselors (18 ) and junior counselors (16-18). Burnt Cedar Horizons Camp is open to ages 5-10 and is located at Lake Tahoe in Incline Village's beautiful Burnt Cedar Beach. You’ll be responsible for overseeing their activities and ensuring they don’t get lost or hurt. The job duties of a Camp Counselor include leading summer camp activities and games, leading arts and crafts, supervising swimming at the pool and beach, and more. Being reliable and able to build good relationships with children are two essential traits of a Camp Counselor. If you love kids and being outside, you are patient and energetic. Responsibilities

• Plan and lead outdoor activities or sports for groups of campers
• Follow a camp schedule mixed with swimming, crafts, team building, sports, etc...
• Escort and oversee children
• Educate campers through games and explorations
• Set up and maintain equipment
• Resolve occasional fights between children and address behavioral issues
• Make sure all safety rules are followed
• Ensure beach is kept clean and that campers don’t litter and protect the environment
• Perform first aid or take care of injuries as needed
• Keep accurate incident logs

Must be available for the following dates:

Training: July 5th-7th

Session 1: July 11 - July 14

Session 2: July 18 - July 21

Session 3: July 25 - July 28 - ALL DAY SESSION

Session 4: August 1 - August 4

Session 5: August 8 - August 11

• Days: Monday - Thursday
• Staff Hours- Approximately 20 Hours per week:
• Sessions 1,2,4, & 5: 12:30 pm - 4:45 pm
• Session 3: ALL DAY 9:15 am - 4:45 pm
• Weekly Staff Meetings on Monday's 4:45 pm-5:45 pm

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• First Aid Certification (Preferred)
• CPR Certification (Preferred)
