**Description**

The Lead Business Intelligence Analyst will assist with a variety of consulting projects supporting the Business Intelligence and Analytics Business Line within 1898 & Co. This role will perform individual tasks and lead the delivery of analytics services to the project and client. The ideal candidate will have experience in data analysis, requirements gathering and will be able to demonstrate how to leverage business intelligence tools to enable the value of data with visualizations and improved business processes. You will work across multiple industries but will primarily be focused within the Utilities sector. You must be comfortable working in a fast paced and fluid environment where muti-tasking is common.

Assists and sometimes leads the development of data visualizations and dashboards to tell stories that help drive business outcomes.

Work within a team to design and develop data pipelines to ingest, transform and cleanse data.

Build analytics models supporting a variety of domains and use cases.

Lead research and compile information for senior project team members.

Apply standard industry practices and principles supporting data analytics.

Desire to grow technical capabilities toward a data visualization expert, data engineer or data scientist.

All other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**

Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, math, chemistry, physics or economics or related degree from an accredited program. Applicable years of experience may be substituted for degree requirement.

Minimum 3.0 GPA is strongly preferred.

Minimum of 2 years professional consulting experience is preferred.

Demonstrated experience with Power BI is preferred.

General understanding of data, having built dashboards and reports that help to data driven decisions is preferred.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excels at telling stories with data.

Possess a general understanding of data ingestion processes, tools, data quality and data is preferred.

Ability to work methodically and analytically in a problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills.

Software development and data skills: SQL. Python or similar is preferred.

Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Demonstrated leadership skills with an insatiable appetite for learning.

Experience with databases, awareness of analytics and data science is preferred.

Understanding of electric utilities or manufacturing is preferred.
