Burn Boot Camp KY-OH is Hiring a Lead Childwatch Director Near Union, KY

Lead Childwatch Director Hours Monday - Friday 8am-11am and some evenings 4pm-7pm

  • Create schedules for employees.
  • Manage employee time off & schedule changes when arise.
  • interview/hire new employees.
  • Keep up to date on policies and procedures.
  • Address parent concerns.
  • Conduct monthly CW meetings.
  • Create weekly activities.
  • Check in all kids & make sure waivers are signed.
  • Engage with children & parents at pick up and drop offs.
  • Train staff on childwatch procedures & BCE standards (back of the door).
  • Address all parent concerns.
  • All roles at Burn are responsible for knowing our training philosophy, vision/core values, membership rates, current promotions, the five pillars, and use Burn lingo as well as complete courses in the Burn Learning Portal. 
  • Ensure all children are checked in, and waivers are completed. 
  • Consistently deliver a warm welcome with energy, names, and high fives to the children who spend time with us during Camps. 
  • Responsible for maintaining a high level of engagement with children and building a welcoming and safe environment.
  • Demonstrate a caring and compassionate attitude when interacting with and caring for all children. 
  • Observing and monitoring play and other activities for multiple children at various age ranges at the same time. 
  • Plan to develop age-appropriate and wellness-focused activities. 
  • Watch for signs of emotional or developmental problems in children and bring potential problems to the attention of parents or guardians. 
  • Childwatch staff are responsible for a safe and comfortable environment. This requires staff to implement “time-outs” as a redirection activity for children with behavioral issues. 
  • If the child cannot be comforted within 10 minutes, the childwatch staff are to call the parent/guardian. 
  • Accompany potty-trained children to the restroom when necessary. 
  • To reduce the spread of illness, childwatch staff are required to wash hands thoroughly and frequently. 
  • Help children keep good hygiene/hand washing.
  • Oversee that the childwatch room is disinfected and sanitized a minimum of twice per day. Once at the end of morning Camps, and once after the last childwatch session of the day. This includes wiping down all counters, door handles, light switches, and other accessible surfaces. Deep cleansing, sanitizing, and disinfecting is necessary after an illness has been reported. 
  • Understand the difference between cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting:
  • Clean – Physically remove dirt, germs, and debris from a surface by scrubbing, washing, and rinsing; it is done using soap or detergent and water. 
  • Sanitize – Reduce the number of germs on a surface or object. 
  • Disinfect – Kill nearly all the germs on a surface or object.
  • Handle parent concerns in a professional manner. 
  • Properly track and enter timecard information for yourself and be able to account for childwatch staff hours if ever in question. 
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certifications. 
  • Manage childwatch staffing and hiring.
  • Handle any disciplinary actions necessary among childwatch staff. 
  • Work closely with Lead Operations 
  • Plan structured activities for childwatch participants
  • Work a minimum of 10 camps on average per week.
  • Use 5 hours a week of at home planning time.
