Edmunds Middle School is accepting applications for a Reading Interventionist(LTC) for our SY24-25 school year.
The Reading Interventionist is responsible for supporting student achievement in the area of English Language Arts, with special attention to reading . The Interventionist provides individual or small group instruction to students who are struggling academically. This position is also responsible for monitoring, reporting, and communicating student progress and performance. Essential skills include comfort, competence and knowledge in providing reading interventions for middleschool grade set. Experience with co-teaching and/or collaborative teaching practices desired.
Required:

• Licensed or eligible for Vermont Educators License.
• Experience in reading instruction/interventions
• School experience at the middleschool level
• Knowledge of best practices regarding student management protocols
• Knowledge of middleschool research based best practices

Preferred:

• Training and experience with English Language Learners
• Evidence of strong connection with students and families.
• Experience in a professional/teaching learning community
• Knowledge of assessments and use of data to inform instruction
• Experience in implementing inclusive practices
• Strong communication skills as evidenced through quality of resume and cover letter

SALARY: Starting Salary based on education as per the Master Agreement between the Burlington Board of School Commissioners and the Burlington Education Association
