PART TIME MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Burlington Capital Properties is a nationally recognized property management company seeking a Part Time Maintenance Technician for our brand-new community, Ravinia in Fort Pierce, Florida. We are considering individuals who take pride and ownership in the work they perform and can provide friendly, quality service that our residents deserve.

The days/hours for this part time position are yet to be determined but will consist of approximately 24 hours a week during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with on-call rotation on evenings and weekends (schedule to be discussed during interviews).

Essential job functions include:

• Perform maintenance and repair work as directed.
• Perform standard apartment maintenance which could include painting, cleaning carpets and appliance repair.
• Troubleshoot, perform and/or assist in maintenance and repairs related to plumbing, heating, air conditioning, electrical, roofs, carpentry and swimming pool.
• Assist in other duties as requested by management
• Maintenance team members are required to be “on call” every other week
• Control expenses to meet budgeted guidelines
• Provide excellent customer service at all times
• Participate in all resident promotions and/or functions as required by the property manager
• Follow all safety and liability guidelines as outlined

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Must possess adequate working knowledge of a property’s significant maintenance needs such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry etc.
• HVAC certification preferred, but not required
• Ability to follow directives and work with minimum supervision
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to interact positively with residents, employees, vendors and the general public
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

Must provide your own basic tools to perform apartment/building maintenance. Must be able bend, stoop, sit, stand, walk, climb stairs & ladder, to reach, lift, pull, push and lift or carry weight up to 75 pounds. Must have reliable transportation.
