Burke United Christian Ministries is Hiring a Cleaner Near Morganton, NC
Overview:
We are seeking a Commercial Cleaner to join our team at Burke United Christian Ministries. As a Commercial Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in our facility. Our facility encompasses a retail space, offices, conference rooms, staff break rooms (3), public restrooms (2), employee restrooms (5), and lobby. Flooring is commercial tile and professionally maintained annually. Facility is approximately 20,000 sq feet.
Responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning duties such as dusting, mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas
- Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap
- Follow cleaning schedules and procedures to meet hygiene standards
- Notify management of any repairs needed or safety hazards observed
Requirements:
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial work is preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, kneel, lift, and perform cleaning duties
