Burke Town School, serving children in PreK- grade 8, seeks a 1.0 FTE School Counselor. Candidates must be a dynamic, high quality school counselor, interested in working at the Burke Town School and collaborating with the seven other school counselors within the Kingdom East School District. Responsibilities include VT Health Education Statues ACTs and research-based guidance instruction embedded in the classroom, as well as small group and individual school counseling services. High school applications, career preparation and ACT 77 and PLP knowledge and leadership is expected. Individual will be a member of Student Services and Educational Support Teams within schools. Ability to work collaboratively with classroom teachers, in partnership with area service agencies, and build strong relationships with families a necessity. Candidate must demonstrate ability to work effectively with collaborative teams, knowledge of positive behavior interventions, multi-tiered supports, and research-based SEL practices. We seek creative, passionate counselors with a sense of humor and genuine love for working with young people within a collaborative team environment.
