About Us:

At Burgess Center for Cosmetic Dentistry , we are seeking a Dental Assistant to collaborate with our team to improve our patients dental health and smiles in our state-of-the-art practice in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.

As one of our Dental Assistants, you will provide direct or indirect patient care, complete sterilization duties, and assist our Dental Hygienists. Our office embodies a spa-like atmosphere where our patients can relax with televisions, headphones, and other amenities. If you are seeking a new dental home and have experience with Digital x-rays, Dentrix software or CEREC, we would LOVE to talk to you!

Schedule:

  • Monday 7:30am-5:30pm
  • Tuesday 7:30am-5:30pm
  • Wednesday 730am-530pm
  • Thursday 7:30am - 5:30pm
  • Friday 8:00am-3:30pm (Every Friday, until fully trained, then 1 Friday/month)
Responsibilities:

As a Dental Assistant, you will:

  • Assist the doctor or hygienist in providing care to the patient.
  • Take quality radiographs for the Doctor and hygienist(s).
  • Develop a relationship with the patient.
  • Follow all OSHA/HIPAA guidelines.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities of a Dental Assistant are as follows:

  • Patients are our number one priority, and we always want to do what is best for them.
  • Welcome patients and get them situated in the appropriate treatment room.
  • Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Take and document patient dental history and updates, as well as overall health and medication history.
  • Perform patient charting as instructed by the dentist or dental hygienist.
  • Setup treatment room for dentist or hygienist with necessary instruments and supplies.
  • Clean and sterilize instruments.
  • Take high quality dental radiographs.
  • Contribute to the team in achieving business objectives to accomplish goals.
  • Attend daily morning huddles with the team and scheduled staff meetings.
  • Maintain a safe and secure office environment for patients and team.
Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of experience as Dental Assistant.
  • Current CPR and Radiology Certification preferred.
  • certification preferred.
  • Licensed as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Registered Dental Assistant in Extended functions (RDAEF) preferred.
  • Experience with Dentrix software is a plus!
