Twister Operator

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

Twister operator is responsible to operate and maintain twisters and twister creels

Essential Functions

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions

  1. Operates and maintains the twisters
  2. Loads the twister creels with raw yarn, and tie in the new packages
  3. Complete all changeovers to meet weaving demand
  4. Complete material moves in ERP System
  5. Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor
  6. Attains production goals by accurately and timely completing work orders with minimum supervision
  7. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
  8. Responsible for personal compliance of all OSHA and Bulldog Hose rules and regulations
  9. Follows the Bulldog Hose Quality Assurance Program by accurately performing the required tasks as directed by team leader

Non-Essential Functions

  1. Accurately records time worked and allocates time to the appropriate job(s)
  2. May operate a forklift as needed

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, oil and grease. The team member is occasionally exposed to vibration. The team member occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and performs work from a variety of different angles and body positions. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, twisting, crouching, and crawling all day. The team member is frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and to climb or balance. The team member is regularly required to reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear

The team member must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds; and frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday. Hours of work are:

  1. Second shift 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm

Opportunities to work extended hours and on weekend, work may be optional or required as job duties demand

Travel

No travel is regularly expected for this position. Team member may be assigned to go out on a service call to a customer’s premise

Required Education and Experience

  1. High School Diploma or GED diploma, or three to six months related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  2. Industry experience
