SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Utilize and operate equipment, material and tools for the purpose of inspection, diagnostics and repair/PM on mills, slitter, tool room equipment and misc facility needs as they arise. Responsible for support capacity of all plant functions, maintaining equipment in an operable, safe capacity. Complies with all safety, quality, customer focus, preventative maintenance and housekeeping standards. All other duties as assigned and expected.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand for several hours (up to 8-12 hours); use hands and fingers to manipulate, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk; talk or hear; stoop; kneel; crouch; and crawl. The employee is rarely required/afforded an opportunity to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds; frequently lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Rarely will an employee have to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, color recognition, and ability to adjust focus. The essential functions of this classification include performing the following tasks:

1. Read and apply micrometer, caliper, gages and tape measure
2. Read and interpret equipment manufacturers and lubrication recommendations.
3. Perform required maintenance, repair PM's and lubrication on all equipment
4. Demonstrate mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge and aptitude
5. All fork truck operations (observing all safety rules and precautions)
6. Fill out all proper forms- Maintenance, tow motor, crane inspection sheets
7. Correct interpretation and understanding of quality requirements to meet specs
8. Ability to run an overhead crane
9. Ability to run all maintenance machinery such as lathers, presses, grinders
10. Familiarity with PLC's, motor controls, sensors, limit switches and electro/mechanical systems, and 3-phase 480vt equipment
11. Complete knowledge of Company quality requirements
12. Complete knowledge of Company housekeeping rules

REQUIREMENTS:

1. High School Diploma/equivalent
2. Prior manufacturing experience
3. Machine operating skills or ability to learn and comprehend
4. Speak and read English
