A senior-level Mechanical/Plumbing Engineer with 5 years of experience and a firm understanding of MP&E Engineering as it relates to the Architecture & Construction industry
A talented individual who is highly motivated, organized, and able to lead a team and tackle multiple projects simultaneously.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare detailed Mechanical and Plumbing Engineering construction documents for small to large commercial projects (hotel & hospitality, retail, restaurant, medical, mid-rise, multifamily, institutional, industrial, parking garages, storage facilities, etc.) using AutoCAD and/or Revit
Prepare detailed mechanical and plumbing CDs from conceptual designs to final product using AutoCAD and/or Revit
Perform HVAC load calculations and systems design for building projects
Prepare plumbing isometric piping plans
Generate mechanical and plumbing specifications for construction documents
Ensure components and assemblies adhere to industry and business standards
Attend design & site meetings with builders, owners, and architects
Specify building automation controls and generate control diagrams
Respond to RFI's and perform shop drawing reviews
Perform job site inspections when required for projects
Work with design staff and drafters to complete projects
Drive deadlines in a dynamic and fast-moving environment
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS (MUST meet the following)
Minimum 5 years of experience in MP&E Engineering / Architecture / Construction industry with an emphasis in commercial building design
AutoCAD is a MUST, Revit experience is a plus
Strong computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.)
HVAC Chilled & Heating Hydronic Water design including chiller and boiler plants, cooling towers and condenser water systems, and associated distribution piping systems
Mechanical design experience with DX unitary heating and cooling systems, VRF systems, ventilation, and exhaust systems
Air distribution ducting design for commercial building projects
Variable Air Volume (VAV) systems design and controls
Knowledge of and experience working with plumbing systems
Ability to coordinate with engineers, designers, and architects
Ability to deliver under pressure with constant variations in priority and tasks
Flexibility in hours as required to meet project deadlines
