At BMC, the Sr. Inventory Control Specialist is at the hub of it all - touching almost every role within field operations to keep things smooth sailing. That means being a team player with a knack for optimization. They're in charge of making sure that inventory processes and procedures are done right - plus delivering on-target projections. Financial, operations, sales, delivery - this is a job that supports every corner of BMC's success.

**Major Responsibilities:**

- Manage and control of all stock and non-stock inventory.

- Ensure processes and procedures are properly executed.

- Follow SOPs to optimize integrity of inventory.

- Price adjustments are created periodically to ensure accuracy and to prevent penalties assessed by an arm of the government called Weight and Measures.

- Run ICRON (Inventory Control Non-stock/Direct Order) report 2 to 3 times a week, informing of all non-stock items received into Trend.

- Monitor orders and work with the salesmen for materials that has not been picked up within a certain time period.

- The report also indicates quantity and cost issues which need to be investigated and adjusted by ICS.

- Directs and monitors warehouse transfers.

- Monitor RARR trend function that automatically replenish inventory based on the following: sales history, vendor minimum, how long product takes to arrive, standard packaging changes, seasonal, safety allowing, and ordering methods.

- Constantly review the OEZRI report (everyday, multiple times a day). It will identify the OE tickets that will be prevented from processing that night so it is vital that research and adjustments are handled prior to the end of the business day.

- Monitor Bin Locating a method to track inventory by giving a product a particular home.

- Ensure that the cycle counting is conducted on a regular basis to help with locating theft, purchasing issues, lead time, and other issues.

- Ensure that the average percentage of inventory is counted over a 6 month period.

Required Skills

- Minimum Education:

- Bachelors degree in business or related field.

- Applicable work experience may be substituted for educational requirements.

- MBA preferred.

- Interpersonal communication and written skills.

- Organization and management skills.

- Negotiation and financial and market analysis skills.

- Procurement systems and building material products.

- Ability to travel and perform according to the requirements of the position.

- Tech-savvy with emphasis on MS Office.

Required Experience

- Minimum Experience:

- 10 years knowledge in the building materials or procurement field.

- Demonstrated experience with team-building techniques and adeptness in directing large groups of associates.
