Buildings Etcetera, Inc. is Hiring a Construction Superintendent Near Houlton, ME

Buildings Etcetera, Inc. is currently searching for a hard working and professional individual to join our successful team.

Applicants should be proficient in all standard aspects of building construction including concrete, rough and finish carpentry, roofing, steel erection, doors, windows, cabinetry, etc. This is a salary position.

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Ability to supervise a minimum of 4 team members concurrently while performing other trades
  • Coordination/management of subcontractors and material suppliers - Direct interaction with clients
  • Tracking of change orders and project extras
  • Reading/interpreting project drawings and specifications
  • Identify and resolve problems and conflicts
  • Ensure quality control standards are being met
  • Monitor and ensure compliance of all safety standards
  • Perform most aspects of construction.
  • Ability to operate equipment is a plus (forklift, scissor lift, crane, telehandler, etc.)

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Minimum age of 18 years old
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in the construction industry - Minimum of 3 years in supervisory role.
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements (Training can be provided if required)
  • Willing to travel within 100 miles of Houlton, ME
  • Ability to work weekends as needed
  • Basic tools (tape measure, hammer, cordless tools, etc)
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to arrive at work dependably and consistently
