The Sr Manager Portfolio Management directs and oversees Portfolio Management to ensure IT programs and projects meet organization goals and requirements. Develops and implements Portfolio processes and policies, directs portfolio management staff, and works with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects and programs to be worked within the project and product portfolio. The Sr Manager Portfolio Management develops & implements best practices to enable the successful delivery of a broad range of IT projects to stakeholders across the business. This will be done by ensuring that all projects adhere to the best practices & standard approaches for portfolio management and overall portfolio health. Identify and resolve project interdependencies, and related execution issues/risks, in order to achieve IT program management/governance goals and objectives. Provide value-added expertise in developing new concepts, techniques, and standards across multiple business units and initiatives. Position requires strong judgment and influencing, communication and negotiating skills. Operate cross-functionally at all levels within the organization. The Sr Manager Portfolio Management role functions in a lead role by providing portfolio planning, alignment, governance, and guidance to colleagues/clients in area(s) of expertise. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
