Builder.ai is looking for an experienced Technical Architect to join our growing Delivery team in Boston on a full time basis in a predominantly office based capacity.

Why We Need This Role
Technical Architects at Builder play a key role in strategizing and overseeing the technical architecture of customer projects built within our Builder Studio platform. You’ll be responsible for implementing customer projects that are scalable and reliable while following industry best practices and aligning to our technical standards and policies. Technical Architects (known as a Sensei at Builder) work closely with our Productologists (Product Owners) and Ninjas (Technical Project Managers) to ensure our code development and architecture achieves the highest stakeholder satisfaction.

You will be responsible for

  • Working with our Sales and Productologist teams in engaging Customers to understand their unique requirements and feasibility.
  • Presenting technical solutions to enterprise customers.
  • Documenting architecture and technical tasks as part of user story refinement.
  • All technical deliverables including code quality, test automation, NFR testing, and code handover.
  • Leading the resolution of technical problems; expert troubleshooters across all facets of a project’s delivery
  • Identification of process improvement areas and the championing of innovation in automating parts of the SDLC through the use of 

Requirements

  • 5 years experience with a wide range of web, backend, or mobile technologies.
  • Mastery of at least one of the following languages in a cloud-based ecosystem:
    • React Native and/or React
  • Experience presenting technical solutions to customers.
  • A proven track record of designing scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
  • Experience leading development efforts across multiple projects or work streams in parallel.
  • Experience working with off-shore/outsourced developers across different time zones.
  • Experience with code review tools and practices to ensure best practices are followed and code quality gates are achieved.
  • Experience with creating documentation, unit tests, integration tests, security, and load tests.
  • Solid Understanding of GitOps principles.

Nice to have:

  • Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitLab CI/CD pipelines
  • Comfortable with open source monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, along with an ability to troubleshoot infrastructure and/or application issues across these tools.
  • Experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, and Digital Ocean.
  • Experience with Python and/or Node.js.
