SUMMARY

While receiving leadership support from the Marketing Manager, the Field Marketing Specialist liaises with marketing team members to create a strategic marketing strategy to define project requirements, scopes, and objectives that align with organizational goals. The Field Marketing Specialist will align service delivery consistently with the mission, vision, values, and brand of Bug Tussel.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Work with the marketing and retail product managers to create a strategic marketing strategy and map out the tasks needed to implement that strategy.
  • Collaborate with retail store teams to optimize the sales and marketing approach, ensuring every customer's cohesive and branded experience.
  • Represent Bug Tussel and the AT&T brand professionally and courteously.
  • Foster an in-depth understanding of AT&T and Bug Tussel to enhance sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Utilize sales and marketing expertise to convey the benefits of AT&T and Bug Tussel products and services to potential customers in a retail setting.
  • Develop business relations with AT&T at the regional levels to assist in identifying new business opportunities and troubleshooting potential issues as they may arise.
  • Determine local events, PR, social media, and other collaboration opportunities for market positioning.
  • Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies to meet and exceed retail sales targets.
  • Excel in selling AT&T's products/services, including entertainment, as we are a full-service lifestyle solution.
  • Generate new business.
  • Achieve sales benchmarks and milestones (which can lead to that much-needed bonus payment)
  • Coordinate and manage communications to the field around all current and planned retail marketing initiatives, campaigns, and events.
  • Manage the field marketing budget effectively, ensuring optimal utilization of resources.
  • Work with wireless leaders to stand out, serve, and succeed within the local community.
  • Performs other duties as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • 2-5 years of successful sales and or marketing experience in the telecom industry with a proven track record for achieving and exceeding Sales quotas
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and work independently.
  • Ability to coordinate with key managers and executives.
  • Carrier or wireless industry experience is required.
  • Must be willing and able to travel to host local retail events, off-site training, and meetings.
  • Ability to lift to 10-15 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, squat, and stretch for inventory and stocking.
  • Requirement to stand for long periods to provide the best customer service (with or without reasonable accommodation).

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Employees should be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Employees should be able to write project plans, reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Employees should also be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external customers and the general public.

  • Technically competent with Microsoft Office products and other software applications.
  • Experience utilizing CRM Systems (MS Dynamics, Salesforce, or similar) to their advantage.
  • Strong preparation skills and ability to generate solid strategies around opportunities.
  • High drive for results, pride, and desire to improve in sales.
  • Maintains professional appearance and conduct.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here represent those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work is performed in a typical office environment with minimal physical risks involved and in the field while on surveys and installations, with moderate to high physical risks. The noise level in each work environment is low to moderate.

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, days, evenings, overnight, weekends, holidays, extended (long) workdays, and extended numbers of days.
  • Ability to travel for on-site marketing & sales event management.
  • Sitting for extended periods.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other devices and objects.
  • Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, meetings, field support, and others.
  • Must be able to travel for events, clients, stakeholders, or off-site personnel/management and participate in company and industry events.
