Buffalo Agency, a Buffalo Groupe company, is seeking a PR Associate. Our Associates keep their finger on the pulse of the industry, media and cultural trends while driving our clients’ businesses forward with hard work, creativity and dedicated enthusiasm. Candidates interested in this role will be PR focused with exposure across all facets of our integrated marketing agency, including digital, creative, content, influencer marketing, data and strategy.

Compensation: $48,000 - $52,000

Responsibilities:

Role:

• Build understanding and knowledge of the clients’ business and their challenging and rapidly shifting competitive environments
• Maintain regular contact with clients and media; proactively offer and implement new ways to meet client needs
• Support in the creation of written materials, including beautifully designed presentations, compelling press releases, concise fact sheets, key messages and actionable pitches
• Support media relations campaigns, identifying story angles, overseeing list and pitch development, and working directly with media day to day 
• Demonstrate an understanding of the social media industry and basic principles of community engagement
• Assist with research including media audits and analysis of online conversations
• Demonstrate a general knowledge of social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, etc.
• Develop and manage timelines and weekly action plans to ensure all deadlines on client programs are met 
• Provide client service administration, including preparing client status and activity reports, attending meetings and conference calls, compiling reports on client media and competitor coverage using media intelligence tools, scheduling and logistics

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree and one to three years of public relations experience
• Understanding of the relationship between traditional public relations and the use of current online/digital technology and social media
• Working knowledge of key online/offline media outlets, influencers and journalists
• Strong presentation skills, poise, and professionalism fluency and/or familiarity with digital and social media
