Role Summary

Assist with loading and unloading and minimize damage, of any move, while providing positive customer perception of Budd Van Lines.

Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Maintain professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with company standards 
• Maintain positive working relationship with each transferee
• Prepare / protect, pad and wrap furniture and fixtures inside residences 
• Disassemble / reassemble furniture and fixtures
• Package last minute personal effects
• Document cartons properly for easy identification 
• Pad and wrap furniture and fixtures inside the residence 
• Carry items (furniture, package cartons, etc.) to and from residence and from / to moving van
• Unpack personal effects labeled “LAST MINUTE.” Place articles in a well-organized manner on dresser, counter, tabletops, etc. (Protect surfaces with newsprint from carton) 
• Set-up loading and unloading equipment and pathways at origin and destination residence
• Ensure residence is left in a neat and well-organized fashion at the completion of each day 
• Remove debris from cab and van before departing from and returning to the Branch office 
• Other tasks as assigned or requested by manager and driver

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience: will train if necessary
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Licenses: Valid driver’s license preferred,
• Other: Minimum 18 years of age; ability to travel on overnight jobs, as necessary.
