Summary/Objective:
Under the direction of the Supervisor of STEAM Education, the Fab Lab Summer Camp Group Leader is responsible for implementing daily camp activities at the Fab Lab Center while ensuring a safe, fun, and creative learning environment for all campers. The camps will run Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, from June 17 – August 23 (no camp the week of July 4). The Fab Lab Summer Camp Group Leader must possess knowledge of and experience with STEAM topics, such as coding and robotics, engineering and design, arts, electronics and circuitry, 3D printing, stop motion video, and/or Minecraft. Applicants are required to commit to at least 2 weeks of camp as well as 2 hours per week of preparation to review the plans for the week of camp. Applicants are also required to attend a two-hour training prior to the start of the summer camp.
The Fab Lab Center is the hub for STEAM education in Bucks County and will be offering 9 exciting, unique, and FUN weeks of Summer Camp for children entering grades 1 through 7 in the fall of 2024. This is a part-time position. Days and hours of work are approximately 7:30 am – 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Campers will attend Summer Camp from 8:00am to 4:00pm, with Group Leaders required to work a half-hour before and after camp for preparation/set up and clean up each day. Applicants are required to commit to at least 2 weeks of camp as well as 2 hours per week of preparation to review the plans for the week of camp. Applicants are also required to attend a two-hour training prior to the start of the 9-week camp series.
Travel: Travel is not associated with this position.
