POSITION SUMMARY :

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Buchheit’s "WOW" customer experience by safely stocking, storing, staging, loading / unloading customer and vendor cargo as well as delivering Buchheit Retail store merchandise, according to the loading slip, to the customer's location or job site.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Inspect and safely operate Retail Store Delivery vehicle.
• Adhere to DOT / FMCSA and OSHA regulations and company policies.
• Counts, weighs and records number of units of materials moved or handled daily.
• Maintains clean and well-organized store, supply yard, and warehouse facilities.
• Receive, record, and route customer orders / changes as appropriate.
• Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks and shelves.
• Load materials onto vehicles or trailers.
• Secure cargo to prevent shifting / damage in transit.
• Deliver to customer at construction sites, personal homes, farms, etc.
• Operate and maintain forklift, industrial truck or hand truck to move materials.
• Adhere to Loss Prevention, inventory control, and compliance procedures.
• Maintain Safety awareness for hazards to employees or customers.
• Effectively communicate with customers, team members and managers.
• Demonstrate initiative and effective problem-solving skills.
• Work in a fast-paced environment.
• Additional duties, as assigned

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and / or move items weighing up to 75 pounds.
