Duties & Responsibilities: (Essential Functions of Position, Major Responsibilities, Summary of Key Duties, Special Assignments, Relationships)

• Follow the District's curriculum for all subjects to prepare students to meet grade level Common Core Standards
• Establish and maintain high academic and behavioral expectations for all students
• Establish and maintain high standards of pupil behavior needed to achieve a structured, positive learning environment in the classroom and building, implementing Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports for all students
• Collaborate with grade level team members planning lessons, monitoring student progress, analyzing data, modifying and differentiating instruction as needed
• Maintain up to date progress monitoring and academic diagnostics
• Use the MTSS process to support students both academically and behaviorally
• Collaborate and co-teach with special education teachers/paraeducators in an environment that welcomes all students
• Integrate technology into lessons and have a working knowledge of Microsoft, google, Lexia, SMART Boards, chrome books, tablets, etc.
• Implement effective research based strategies: Differentiated Instruction, Think Alouds, Explicit Instruction, etc.
• Communicate with parents on a consistent basis regarding student progress and encourage parental involvement
• Perform supervision responsibilities with a belief that all teachers are on duty at all times everywhere in the school environment including AM/PM outside duty, hall duties, lunch/recess duty
• Participate in IEP's MTSS meetings, Collaborative Teacher Teams, Committees, and parent conferences
• Be an active participant in building level professional development focused on MTSS, PBIS, Collaborative Teacher Teams, effective interventions, and incorporate strategies in the classroom
• Successful candidate must be willing to support the rigorous District Literacy Plan by: (1) Participating in on-going trainings (2) Actively participating in CTT teams (3) Using formative assessments to guide instruction and provide feedback to students, parents, building and district staff (4) Planning, Monitoring and/or Implementing Tier II and Tier III interventions 
• Good attendance and punctuality are a must to insure that the duties and responsibilities of the job are performed successfully
• As a Title I building, be involved in and support occasional extended day learning activities for students and families
• Perform all other duties as assigned
• Successful candidate must possess strong inter-personal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students to ensure each child reaches his/her full potential.

• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Able to assist with outside supervision year round
