Dog Groomer

This position is located in our brand-new Fort Mill store with private grooming rooms for each groomer and all new equipment throughout the salon.

Responsibilities:

• Provide grooming services as requested by customers and that are appropriate for the breed of dog.
• Observe dog coat condition, recommend and execute appropriate treatment(s).
• Communicate with dog owners at drop-off and pick-up; providing necessary feedback about the groom and/or dog during the visit.
• Manage each client’s appointment details through company-provided tools.
• Help provide a safe, comfortable environment for dogs to be groomed.
• Sanitize your private grooming room and perform additional maintenance throughout the day to ensure a clean, high quality and safe environment for grooming.

Must Haves:

• At least 1 year of professional grooming experience
• Must be familiar with various breed-specific cuts and techniques
• Bathing, drying, maintaining all coat types, ear cleaning, nail trim and grinding, gland expression, etc.
• Advanced clipper and scissor techniques
• Safe pet handling skills
• Enjoy working with both humans and dogs
• Knowledge of safety and sanitization protocols
• Work well in a team environment but also independently with dogs
• Comfortable communicating directly with customers and dog owners
• Strong customer service and intrapersonal skills
• Basic computer skills
• Exceptional time management skills
• Open to feedback and loves to learn
• Strong attention to detail – both in communication and in grooming
• Weekend and evening availability

Job Types:Full-time

Compensation:

• $40,000.00 - $75,000.00/annual, plus 100% tips
• Generous benefits package, including health and dental
