Essential Functions

• Ensure that all food and beverage products are consistently prepared and served according to the recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards 
• Understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the prep areas, associates and guests 
• Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the preventative maintenance procedures
• Stock and restock all candy supplies and candy ingredients throughout shift, weighing/serving candy, and scooping ice cream
• Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance and store housekeeping
• Keeping the sales floor and restrooms neat, clean and organized 
• Stock and re-stock all candy, ingredients, supplies, and merchandise throughout shift 
• Ensure that each guest receives outstanding customer service by providing a customer friendly environment, including greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of customer service 
• Adhere to dress code, standards of behavior, all company policies, procedures and practices, including signing, pricing, and loss prevention 
• Follow all opening and closing procedures
• Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions and maintain proper cash and special promotions at POS registers 
• Maintain an awareness of all product information, promotions, upcoming events and advertisements
• Communicate customer requests to management 
• Responsible for generating sales and cross selling all products and services within The Studer Family of Companies
• Performs all other duties as requested or directed

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Maintain professional attitude and appearance at all times
• Well-organized and detail-oriented with all guest services
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed 
• Excellent communication skills 
• Must be able to adhere to/follow written recipes and instructions 
• Ability to use kitchen equipment 
• Ability to calculate figures amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume helpful 
• Excellent interpersonal service skills and organizational skills to plan time effectively 
• Ability to work without direct supervision 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment, work under pressure and meet deadlines with particular attention to detail. 
• Supervise staff during shift
• Required to stand, walk, and lift items (up to 30 lbs.) on a regular basis
• Ability to work as part of a team and build relationships with customers

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED and one to three years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time position. Employees receive tips and paid time off. Days and hours will vary to include evening and weekend work according to business needs. 

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The key physical requirements of this position includes the ability to walk and stand for an extended period of time, bending, stooping, and able to lift up to 30 pounds.
