Job Summary:

The Pratt and Whitney North Berwick Engineering Center (NBEC) is currently seeking a co-op with interest in Flow and Thermal analysis to work commercial and military gas turbine engines. As a member of an Integrated Product Team, your efforts will support the design, development, validation, production implementation and fleet management of engines flying throughout the world. Specifically, your work will include thermal analysis of static components within the turbine and compressor sections.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering program
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship
  • Fluent in English (verbal/written)
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completed coursework in Conduction, Convection and Fluid Mechanics (or equivalent experience)
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Working knowledge of:  Solid Modeling / Finite Element Modeling / CFDComputer programming (Perl, VBA, C , Python, Matlab, etc) Optimization, Statistics and Manufacturing methods

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
