BTR Manufacturing specializes in designing and building semi-trailers for the agriculture industry. Below is a list of the products we manufacture.

Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed drawings from models as needed for all areas of the manufacturing process.
  • Ensure clean file organization.
  • Utilize and apply drafting standards and techniques to Computer-Aided Design (CAD) systems.
  • Prepare complete sets of drawings which include technical layout, multiple views, detail drawings, and assembly drawings. Maintain proper documentation and database changes.
  • Utilize mathematical formulas to compute weights, load capacities, dimensions, quantities of material, etc.
  • Interface with internal staff as well as customers and vendors regarding technical issues pertaining to parts, design, usage, specifications, etc.
  • Provide guidance to welders and fabricators as needed.
  • Check work for accuracy and compatibility with standards.
  • Review production orders and correctly identify and order the special parts required. Issue Vehicle Identification Numbers (VIN).
  • Design work is generally limited to complex layouts of trailers based on standards and established practices; assignments designed to develop increasing knowledge of product applications.
  • Improve processes and conditions to create an environment that is more productive, including learning and applying advanced CAD capabilities.

Skills

  • Familiar with 3D CAD systems such as solid works, pronest, fusion 360, and Qcad.
  • Ability to create and detail 2D and 3D drawings from solid models.
  • Ability to be able to read/ draw mechanical parts/welds/assembly drawings.
  • Ability to configure products structure and create part numbers

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
