Position: Program Support Specialist
Work Location: Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, OH
Clearance Requirement: Secret
Position Type / Standard Work Hours: Full-time / 40 hours / On-Site
Summary/ Objective:
Provides support to program managers, principal engineers/analysts and senior engineers and project managers including specialized non-technical and administrative tasks. Manages equipment and supply purchasing, tracks expenditures, arranges for hazardous and non-hazardous shipping in support of CONUS and OCONUS operations, performs as a COMSEC courier, and provides logistical support.. Monitor and track program milestones and timelines, track all program deliverables, create, and implement corrective action plans to maintain schedule and cost while supporting program requirements, and conduct budget planning/budget submissions.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Assists in determining equipment and software needs for project and coordinates delivery of equipment, software and supplies to technical staff
  • Receives project requests to purchase materials, equipment, and supplies
  • Prepares packages for shipping, researches best shipping methods, and ensures
  • Researches cost, compliance, and availability to meet government requirements
  • Tracks purchase requests and spending to ensure government credit card compliance
  • Able to successfully complete the defense courier training course and perform CONUS and OCONUS courier duties
  • Provide advisory support to the Government in their function relating to efforts to compile, maintain and revise allowance lists, provisioning documents, or other designations of tools, parts, and components necessary for the efficient operation and repair of equipment and systems and make recommendations for Government consideration.
  • Provide advisory support for the analysis of equipment requirements. Prepare recommendations for Government consideration relating to potential implementation and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Assist in determining equipment and software needs for project and coordinates delivery of equipment, software and supplies to technical staff.
  • Coordinates program office space and office equipment leases.
  • Coordinates project-specific security compliance and staffing needs.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Travel:
Very little - less than 5%
Required Education and/or Experience:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience and a BA/BS degree in related field
  • GPC certified/experience.
  • Expertise for total program cost, schedule, and performance.
  • Preferred 3-5 years of DoD logistics experience.
Security Clearance:
Secret clearance or higher is required.
