The BSN SPORTS team is looking for a team oriented, high-energy Digital Printer Technician. Digital Printer Technician is responsible for the maintenance, operation, and troubleshooting of digital printing equipment. As a member of the Production team, the Digital Printer Technician is a key support role and is responsible for providing a safe environment, ensuring the efficient functioning of digital printers, identifying, and resolving technical issues, and conducting regular maintenance to optimize print quality and minimize downtime.

WHAT YOU’LL DO ON A DAILY BASIS:

• Operate and maintain digital printing equipment, including printers, copiers, and related peripherals.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing printer components to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor print quality and make adjustments as necessary to maintain consistency and accuracy.
• Troubleshoot technical issues with printing equipment, including diagnosing hardware and software problems.
• Repair or replace faulty components to restore functionality and minimize downtime.
• Calibrate printers and perform color management to ensure accurate and consistent output.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
• Stay updated on new technologies and advancements in digital printing to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
• Train and support other staff members in operating printing equipment and troubleshooting common issues.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Other duties as assigned

WHAT SKILLS YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE:

· Strong technical skills and mechanical aptitude, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery.

· Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of print quality

· Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively with team members

· Flexibility to work non-traditional hours as needed to meet production demands or to resolve equipment issues

· Knowledge of color theory and digital imaging techniques is a plus

· Strong problem solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment

KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION

· High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training in digital printing technology preferred.

· 3-5 years’ experience working with digital print equipment, including both hardware and software components.

· Familiarity with industry-standard software applications for digital printing, such as Adobe Creative Suite

· LEAN/process/continuous improvement concepts and principles

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. Repetitive movement of the body is required on a regular basis. The position requires lifting of no less than 10-35 lbs. on a regular basis. Repairs require hand and finger dexterity on a frequent basis.

Pay: $25.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
