BSA Services Corp is Hiring a Facilities Manager Near Holland, MI

Positions Supervised:
· Oversight of Facilities Maintenance, Cleaning, and Grounds Crew

Primary Responsibilities:
The facilities manager ensures that HAC facilities, pools, and grounds are maintained and enhanced to support the organization's programs and mission. This involves overseeing maintenance operations, long-term planning, asset management, project coordination, contractor management, preventative maintenance, budgeting, and leading the facilities team.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Continual oversight of pools, facilities, and grounds, including physical assets and associated costs.
  • Leadership of facilities team members, fostering teamwork, safety, productivity, quality, customer service, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency.
  • Development and management of budgets for maintenance, repairs, and contracts.
  • Identification and supervision of internal and contracted preventative maintenance, including vendor interactions.
  • Coordination with senior management to ensure consistent policies, procedures, safety, and professional operations.
  • Management of building safety, security, and alarm systems in collaboration with the HAC Operations Team.
  • Compliance with safety regulations, government requirements, documentation, and health and safety protocols.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues such as equipment and building system malfunctions.
  • Daily oversight of pool facilities, community spaces, cleaning, upkeep, and landscaping.
  • Negotiation of contracts, facility inspections, and staff training on best practices.
  • Planning, supervision, and execution of maintenance projects, renovations, and improvements.
  • Management of equipment replacement, repairs, and upgrades for pool and facility systems.
  • Identification of facility needs and assistance to staff and guests as required.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Effective communication skills to motivate and support the facilities team and collaborate with other HAC staff.
  • Ability to coordinate efforts with the management team.
  • Analytical skills to assess facility needs and make budget-conscious decisions.
  • Leadership abilities to motivate employees, conduct performance reviews, and handle disciplinary matters.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Preferred technical education/training in plumbing, electrical, HVAC.
  • Required experience in project management.
  • Preferred experience in construction or as a general contractor.
  • Prior managerial experience in a commercial or institutional facility.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/training.
  • Preferred previous experience in aquatics facilities.
  • Ability to obtain Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certificate.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands of the job include ascending/descending stairs, working at heights, and using maintenance equipment and machinery. Ability to work above eight feet and in an aquatic environment, with swimming skills preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
