Position Overview: We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our kitchen team at Camp Constantin/Jack D. Furst Aquatic Base. As a Kitchen Staff Member, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring that campers and staff have nutritious and delicious meals during their stay. This is a seasonal position during the summer camp season.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with meal preparation, cooking, and serving in a fast-paced camp kitchen.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining areas.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to create menus that meet dietary requirements and camp guidelines.
• Help with inventory management, food storage, and restocking supplies.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment for campers and staff.

Qualifications:

• Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience: Previous experience in a kitchen or food service setting is preferred but not required.
• Team Player: Ability to work well with others in a team-oriented environment.
• Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to camp-specific procedures.
• Food Safety: Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Positive Attitude: A friendly and positive demeanor is essential.
• Be able to obtain a food handlers license and/or other training and certifications necessary.
• Must be able to pass a background check

Schedule: This is a seasonal position during the summer camp season. Arrival dates are May 25th 2024 through July 14th 2024. There is no regular time off but will have shifts (morning of afternoon) this will be scheduled through the Business Manager or his/her designee. Staff training will occur before the campers arrive during staff week May 25th - June 1st 2024.

Compensation: Compensation will be discussed during the interview process.
