Job Summary:
As Agency Sales Manager, your primary responsibility is to lead and manage the sales team within the agency, ensuring the achievement of revenue goals and the overall growth of the business. The role involves overseeing the day-to-day sales operations, developing and implementing sales strategies, and fostering a high-performance sales culture.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales Leadership
o Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of insurance agents to achieve individual and team sales targets.
o Provide ongoing training and development to sales staff to enhance their product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service skills.
  • Strategic Planning
o Develop and implement strategic sales plans aligned with the agency’s business objectives.
o Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Performance Management
o Establish and monitor key performance indicators to evaluate the performance of the sales team.
o Conduct regular performance review and provide constructive feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Recruitment and Onboarding
o Participate in the recruitment and selection of new sales personnel.
o Coordinate and oversee the onboarding process for new agents, ensuring a smooth integration into the team.
  • Client Relationship Management
o Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients and strategic partners.
o Resolve escalated customer issues and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Sales Process Optimization
o Streamline and optimize the sales process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
o Implement and monitor sales tools and technology to support the sales team.
  • Compliance and Regulation
o Ensure that the sales team adheres to industry regulations and compliance standards.
o Stay informed about changes in insurance laws and regulations and update the team accordingly.
  • Reporting and Analysis
o Prepare regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market trends.
o Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for enhanced sales effectiveness.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent in related experience.
  • Proven experience in insurance sales, with a track record of success.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or management role within an insurance agency.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of insurance products and industry regulations.
  • Proficiency in using agency management system and sales management software and tools.
