Salary: $18.05/hr

Brunswick Hospital Center (BHC), is a 146-bed private, acute-care psychiatric hospital that is licensed by The New York State Office of Mental Health and accredited by The Joint Commission and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. We are seeking a Painter to:

• Prepare surfaces for painting including cleaning, filling holes, caulking, masking areas, etc.
• Determine materials and quantities needed for each project.
• Mix and match paints, stains, and coatings to achieve desired colors and textures.
• Use brushes, sprayers, and rollers to apply finishes smoothly and evenly.
• Identify and repair any problems with painted or coated surfaces.
• Clean equipment, work areas, and site after completion of work.
• Comply with all safety regulations and wear appropriate safety gear.
• Achieve productivity goals and complete work efficiently.

We require:

• 3 years’ experience as a professional painter
• Expertise in a variety of painting and coating methods including brush, roll, hanging wallpaper, spray painting, etc.
• Knowledge of surface preparation techniques
• Familiarity with types of paints, stains, and other coatings
• Ability to use power tools and painting equipment
• Attention to detail and ability to achieve smooth, streak-free painted finishes
• Physical ability to stand/walk for long periods, work at heights, lift 50 lbs
• Reliable transportation
