JOB SUMMARY

Service Techs must be able to complete diagnosis of any mechanical, electrical, or other various failures/breakdowns of a truck or its related equipment. This position will also perform disassembly, repair, and reassembly of truck engines, transmissions, carrier assemblies, clutches, brakes, electrical systems, and any other truck or related equipment adjustment/repairs.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS AND PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Individual must be able to complete the following assignments:
  • Pm Tech Assignments
  • Additional Task as Needed
• Handling local customers- this includes breakdowns, most scheduling of services/work, after-hours calls.
• Yard check every morning for yard- keeping up with every unit on yard. Knowing where each unit is, what needs to be done, who is/has worked on it
• Work orders- Closing and approving techs work orders. This includes making sure correct parts are charged out, labor is good, and comments are entered. This also includes seeing over inventory locations. Working on re-bills, contacting Leasing Managers, getting approvals, ETC.
• Keeping techs working and motivated- Assign work to techs. This includes knowing each techs weaknesses and strengths. Also includes giving techs prioritized lists depending on work load. Making sure techs have proper stuff to do their job.
• Helping techs- Directing techs when they do not know how to fix a problem, or need help diagnosing a truck.
• Picking up and delivering parts/trucks, making appearances at customer/vendor locations.
• Keeping upper management updated daily on what is going on. This also includes communicating with all Leasing Account Managers.
• KEEPING CUSTOMERS HAPPY- This is one of our main priorities. We do what it takes. Get rentals/subs ready, coordinate with customer/Leasing Managers to make sure everything goes smooth.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Certifications: 

• 100% TDP Certified
• CDL License
• Brake Certified
• Electrical Certified.
• Transmission and Rear End Certified
• Clutch Certified
• A/C Certified
• Class B CDL License

Physical Demands:

• Involves essential ability to maneuver around, in, on and under trucks in order to properly inspect and diagnose all types of problems and repairs. 
• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds to the waist and 25 pounds to the shoulder.
