Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Painter/Stainer to join our team. As a Painter/Stainer, you will be responsible for applying paint, varnishes, and other finishes to various surfaces. You will work on a variety of projects, including residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces by scraping, sanding, and filling holes
- Apply primer or sealers to prepare surfaces for painting
- Mix paints and match colors to achieve desired results
- Apply paint or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Use hand tools and equipment such as ladders, scaffolding, and power tools
- Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment
- Follow safety guidelines and use protective gear when necessary
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Painter or similar role
- Proficient in blueprint reading and color theory
- Knowledge of masonry, frame carpentry, concrete finishing is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and perform manual labor
Location: Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, TN area
