Restoration 1 offers 24/7 emergency services for water, fire, mold, and reconstruction in the greater Baton Rouge area. Restoration 1 has established its reputation over the last five years by providing exceptional customer service, professionalism, and quality work.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all incoming calls and emergency loss dispatching during office hours and participate in an on-call rotation outside of office hours.
  • Keeps scheduling and job statuses updated across all internal systems.
  • Communicates with client throughout the job to answer and/or direct any questions and keep them updated on the status of the work.
  • Responsible for overall coordination of multiple projects at a time.
  • Communicate with project estimator and the business development team to understand, evaluate, and execute scope of work.
  • Prepares schedule for projects and communicates with Operations Manager on job progress.
  • Manage, support, and assist field staff to accomplish mitigation successfully and in a timely manner.
  • Prepare reports, documentation and other job activity paperwork for every project assigned. This includes ensuring that the field staff completes daily paperwork, notes, and psychometrics.
  • Work with internal team and/or Insurance adjuster to resolve problems as discovered.
  • Act as a liaison with Estimator, Clients, Subs, and in-house personnel.
  • Follow and enforce all policies/procedures/regulations as dictated by Restoration 1, State, and Federal entities.
  • If a responsibility or task needs to be completed, fill-in as needed depending on priority.
  • Proficient in tools and software used by Restoration 1 (e.g., Xcelerate, Encircle…)
  • Maintain material and supply inventory.
  • Maintain production equipment and tools.
  • Maintain production vehicles.
  • Assist in coordination, scheduling, and documentation of Safety Program.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Working Conditions

  • The work of this position is predominantly carried out in an office or shop environment. Daily exposure to the shop where vehicles and equipment are housed and maintained is expected.
  • Noise level in the work environment is moderate.

    The individual regularly uses standard word processing and spreadsheet software tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy of work performed, effectively uses communication devices and technology to collect, review and forward field activity reporting.

Qualifications – Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Education and Experience

High School or GED plus four (4) to five (5) years of experience in cleaning/restoration industry or Associates (2-year) degree in business-related field. Team leader or supervisory responsibility experience preferred.

  • Financial Reports and Budgeting

Basic understanding of financial reports: Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and budgeting. Ability to review completed job costing, assess performance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Technical Skills

Advanced technical skills, experience, and certification in the restoration services the company provides.

  • Mathematical Skills

Adequate math skills. Able to translate remaining work quickly and effectively into manpower planning, project completion times, and review and assess labor time reporting. Effectively project job costs based on work remaining.

  • Computer Skills

Demonstrates intermediate to advanced proficiency in the use of computers and computer software, especially MS Word and Excel. Experience with Xactimate software is a plus.

  • Listening Skills

Effective in receiving feedback and input from employees and customers, probing for additional information or unspoken issues, and providing timely response.
