We are in search of a Contracts Administrator to support our Contracts and Legal Team situated in our Corporate headquarters in Baton Rouge, La. This individual must have the ability to work well both independently as well as in a team setting on time-sensitive projects, be highly motivated, and have strong organizational skills.
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Read and understand pertinent contract details, assist with reviewing contracts, subcontracts and purchase order terms and conditions.
  • Organize documents into professional portfolios for bids and RFIs.
  • Ensure that company records are accurate and up to date.
  • Draft contract letters and other communications and notices.
  • Negotiate contract terms while ensuring that projects remain within the budgets.
  • Attend meetings to assess progress on projects which are in motion and take detailed notes to share with stakeholders.
  • Analyze contracts to ensure they comply with state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Support Contracts and Legal Team with cradle-to-grave commercial contract drafting, negotiation and administration services for a wide-range of contractual agreements in accordance with company policies and business practices.
Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2 - 5 years experience in a contract administration role or related fields.
  • Possesses strong attention-to-detail in order to spot issues and inconsistencies in contracts.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
  • Exhibit strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to listen, possess effective interpersonal skills and be a critical thinker.
  • Responsiveness to competing in-house and client-driven requests and ability to interact effectively with senior management, colleagues and customers.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, have a "can do" attitude and open to tackling sometimes arduous tasks.
  • Willingness to adapt/learn, be open to training and coachable on topics including preferred contracting strategies and company risk tolerances.
