Stand-up Deep Reach Narrow Aisle Forklift Operator

Brown Eagle Group Inc. has an opportunity for an experienced Stand-up Deep Reach Forklift Operator in its North Baton Rouge warehouse.

Job Summary:

The Stand-up Deep Reach Forklift Operator's primary function is to perform product put-away, order picking and preparation operations. The Brown Eagle North Baton Rouge warehouse has double deep racking, three levels high. Candidates should have previous experience with stand-up deep reach forklift operations and be comfortable operating in narrow aisles.

Essential Functions:

- Sign out equipment daily using release form

- Perform operations and safety checks including battery, brakes, controls, and fire extinguishers

- Proceeds safely to assigned area to pull, load and move product

- Accurately read and apply labels, operate stretch wrap machine

- Work as part of a team to repack drums to sacks / sacks to drums

- Return equipment to correct station and prepare equipment for daily (overnight) charge upon the end of each shift

- Maintain cleanliness of warehouse

- Perform other duties as requested

Job Qualifications:

- High school or technical school graduate or equivalent combination of education and experience

- 1 years of recent Stand-up Deep Reach Forklift experience

- No property damage accidents or DUI's within the past 3 years

- Must be dependable, reliable and responsible enough to handle equipment safely and sensibly

- Must be able to read, write and speak English

- Must be on time

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift 55 lbs. overhead

- Requires good hand/eye/foot coordination and motor skills

- Must be able to stand, sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel and/or crouch for extended periods of time

Job Type: Full-time (7 AM - 3:30 PM M-F; Occasional OT during the week and Saturdays)

Pay: $17.50 per hour
