Summary:
Provides peer support for behavioral health or substance abuse programs. Provides a variety of services to healthcare professionals and clients and assists in the attainment of short-term and long-term goals. Increases the utilization of community services and mentors individuals with behavioral health or substance abuse issues. Collaborates with internal staff and develops customized solutions.

Education:
Essential:
* High School Diploma or GED

Experience:
Essential:
* One Year

*Peer Support Specialists must be in recovery from substance abuse (2 or more years).

*Must pass a level two background screening as well as AHCA.

Credentials:
Essential:
* Certified Recovery Peer Specialist
* Florida Driver's License
* Heartsaver CPR AED
