We are in search of a talented receptionist who thrives in a challenging and high paced environment. Our law firm is a bustling place: the people are amazing, our staff is busy, and all of us work hard for our clients.
Your attitude and eagerness to work are everything. The purpose of our firm is to help people recover from life changing losses. You will be the first person our clients hear when they call for help; you will be the first face they greet when they come to our office. We need your help to make our clients feel loved and welcome.
Responsibilities
· Maintain a positive, upbeat manner with walk-in and call-in clients. In many cases, you will be the first impression our clients ever have of our firm. Your attitude and ability to make people feel welcome and understood will resonate with these clients more than you can know.
· Field calls from clients, attorneys, adjustors, judges, and persistent salespeople with professionalism and patience.
· Maintain the confidence to stay on top of your work.
· Transfer calls to the appropriate internal parties, or take messages for callback if necessary.
· Document incoming calls from clients in our software, whether that be establishing a new client case and assigning it to the appropriate attorney, or documenting an inquiry from a client.
· Use your judgment and interpersonal skills to let new know clients we are here to help them in their time of need and provide existing clients with assurance that their needs will be dealt with timely.
· Develop sufficient knowledge to respond to basic client questions and perform front-line screening of incoming calls.
Required Skills
· Communication and Positive Attitude. This is the role for a master communicator. Internal and external constituents will need to be handled efficiently and professionally in person, over the phone and thru email.
· Flexibility. No matter how hard we try to capture everything in your job description, something will come up that we missed. The ability to take changes in stride will serve you well.
· Multitasking. The job will require you to be able to keep several balls in the air at once. No two days will be the same but you must be ready to handle whatever is thrown at you.
· Quick list of hard skills: Phone management and clear speech, Organization, Time management, Microsoft Office; general computer skills
